# 3. What third parties use these technologies in connection with our Services?

One: **Google Analytics**.

Google Analytics is provided by Google and measures how our site is used — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they are, and how they arrived. It sets the `_ga` cookies described in [section 1](https://policy.scoutship.io/cookie-policy/1.-what-technologies-are-used).

We use Google Analytics with its advertising features turned off. That means the data it collects for us is not used to build advertising audiences and is not shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can read Google's own description of how it handles this data at [policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

No other third party sets cookies or similar technologies through Scoutship. We have no advertising partners and no "customers" who receive analytics about you.

## Your choices

**Browser controls.** Most browsers let you review, block and delete cookies through their settings, and most offer a private browsing mode that discards them at the end of a session. Consult your browser's documentation. Blocking cookies from Scoutship will sign you out and will make the site forget your preferences, but it will not prevent you from reading the site.

**Opting out of Google Analytics.** Google publishes a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about you on any site, available at [tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

**Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.** No common standard for Do Not Track was ever finalised, and we do not respond to it. Global Privacy Control is treated in [section 9 of our Privacy Policy](https://policy.scoutship.io/privacy-policy/9.-controls-for-do-not-track-features); in short, we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for it to opt out of.

**Consent.** We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. The analytics cookies described here are set when you visit the site. If you would prefer they were not, use the browser controls or the Google opt-out above. If we introduce a consent banner, we will update this policy first.
